Robert heads M2 Capital’s Metals & Mining practice. Robert has 20 years of experience working with companies based in Russia / CIS, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. He has covered these companies from a number of product lines, including: mergers & acquisitions, corporate and project finance and equity and credit (debt rating) research. His core focus is the metals and mining sector. Additionally, he has worked on deals in the oil & gas, energy and real estate sectors.

Over his career, Robert has worked in the mining capitals of Moscow (Alfa-Bank, Otkritie Capital, PWC Russia), New York City (Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) and Westdeutsche Landesbank (WestLb) and Toronto (PWC Canada and DBRS).

 

Robert has presented at a number of conferences, including: Adam Smith CIS Metals Summit, Metal Bulletin International Aluminium Conference, Metal Bulletin Russian, and CIS Steel Summit, Financial Times Gold Summit, MINEX Russia and CIS Forum, World Mining Investment Congress.

Robert holds a Master of Science in Mining Engineering and an MBA from Queen’s University (Canada). He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) and the Association of Mining Analysts (AMA). He is fluent in English, French, Hungarian and has working knowledge of Spanish. He is currently learning Russian.
